Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan. The instructor has been a practitioner for 25 years and teaches the martial applications of Tai Chi, how to use full body movement and exercise to strengthen joints as well as the center core. You will learn 24 form yang styles as well as mediation techniques. Tai Chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages and fitness levels. In fact, because tai chi is a low impact exercise, it may be especially suitable if you're an older adult. Originally developed for self-defense, Tai Chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that's now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. Bring your indoor runners. Tai Chi is from 7:30 - 8:30pm every Thursday from Sept 19 - Nov 21st.
